In a period of six years, he earned the position of the President and Chief Operating Officer of the company and has retained this title since then. He played an important role in the acquisition of U.S. Financial Life Insurance Co. and Trusted Advisors Inc., among others.

His experience in acquisition came handy when AXA Financial decided to buy the company.  Samuel Foti  entered into deals and contracts with AXA that resulted in a profitable buy-out and retaining of a significant number of MONY’s workforce.
